Class I chemical indicators that comply with ISO 11140 requirements exhibit a significant color change after sterilization conditions are met. They are suitable for ethylene oxide sterilization and should be exposed to an ethylene oxide concentration of 600 ± 50 ml/L, at temperatures ranging from 48°C to 55°C, and humidity levels between 65% and 80%, for more than 3 hours.

Usage method

Remove the indicator label from its backing and attach it to the packaging of the sterilized item or directly onto the item itself. Place it inside the ethylene oxide sterilizer. After the sterilization cycle is complete, remove the label and check if the indicator color block has changed from red to blue to determine if the item has undergone ethylene oxide sterilization.

Scope of application

Suitable for hospitals, pharmaceutical companies, food industries, health and epidemic prevention departments, medical device manufacturers, and sterilization service organizations. It is used for ethylene oxide air sterilization and disinfection, indicating whether a sterilization package has undergone ethylene oxide sterilization. Additionally, it is used to detect and evaluate the effectiveness of ethylene oxide sterilization.
